You can't recover, count, bill or declare an asset you can't reliably identify. QR is the cheapest way to give every returnable — IBCs, stillages, crates, drums, roll containers — a unique, scannable identity that any phone can read, with no battery, no cellular fee, and no rollout project.
It's the Day-1 layer: put a QR on the whole fleet for almost nothing, and the platform can now track each unit's history from the first scan. Then the analysis reads that history — plus your ERP export — and tells you exactly which of those identified assets are worth a GPS or, later, a BLE.
